Crouton's story
We will be doing adoptions on Saturday, May 19th from 12-4pm and Sunday, May 20th from 12-3pm at Palo Alto Pet Food Express.  All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: /DPSRescue
This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express from 12-4pm on Sat. May 19th & 12-3pm on Sun. May 20th or until adopted. If interested, please fill out an application if you would like the first opportunity to meet prior to the start of the event. (We will pre-approve one home to meet per dog.)
Crouton is a 6-9 month old Wheaton Terrier mix. He has a non-shedding coat that is an option for those who have allergies or simply want a dog who doesn't shed. He's all puppy. He's go-go-go. He's on the go until he crashes and is sound asleep in the middle of the room or the middle of the driveway or the middle of the bathroom....Crouton is a friendly guy who runs and jumps and launches himself into your arms. He just knows the world loves him and he's there to offer his love in return.
Crouton was a rescue from the shelter. He was listed as a stray. We don't know what his history was before but we do know what his future holds--It's brilliantly shining bright! He gets along great with other dogs. He currently lives with other dogs. He is an option to join a home with other dogs or to live by himself. He definitely needs to be taught basic obedience and some manners. He's all puppy.
Crouton is not a nuisance barker. He could potentially be a dog who lives in an apartment or condo setting. His foster mom works during the day and she uses an exercise pen to keep him contained. He does well in it. He loves to play with toys and plastic bottles. He is very self entertaining.
Crouton is only an option for a home that has had a dog in the last 3 years. If there are children we will only consider those with kids over the age of 8.
