Monkey is a 2 year old Pomeranian x Tibetan Spaniel mix. He was a rescue from the streets of China. He is a little on the timid side initially. Are you willing to give him a little time to adjust before his true colors start to bloom? He is a mellow, gentle, calm type of guy. He would rather be cuddled up on the couch than going for 3-mile hikes.  He is a dog who would love to trot behind his Mom or Dad as they wander around the house. He is not a dog who gets under foot but he is a dog who likes to see what you're doing!
Monkey currently lives with another dog and while in China he was also fostered with several dogs of all sizes. He is the type that instantly makes a connection with other dogs and finds his confidence with another dog. He is more inclined to follow the lead of a confident dog. He's an option to go to the dog park or doggy day camp though we do recommend waiting to build a bond with him before introducing him to public places with lots of uncertainties. He has not proven to be a nuisance barker in his current foster home. He has learned to use the doggy door.
Monkey is only an option for those who have had a dog in the last 3 years. If there are children in the home they need to be over the age of 10.
